Job Description
· The Data Architect will work with a team of data architects and analysts, under the direction of the Lead Data Architect and project manager.
· Using established COP standards and governance, the architect will be responsible for the discovery, analysis, design and development of a multi-tier data warehouse.
· The Data Architect will also assist in the Data Analysis activities.
Required Experience
· Minimum 5 years' experience in data analysis, analyzing source systems, data discovery and data profiling
· Proficient in the use of T-SQL
· Minimum 5 years' experience in Oil and Gas, preferably working in E&P
· Experience with developing source to target mappings
· Experience in working in multi-level data environments
· Experience working with relational and dimensional designs and standards
· Functional knowledge of data integration
Preferred Experience
· Experience in working with Well and Reservoir data sets
· Experience with Integration tools,
· Experience with PPDM 3.8
· Data modeling experience a plus
· Experience working with one or more big data efforts
· Experience with Teradata
Roles and Responsibilities
· Work within a defined COP data warehouse architecture, leverage established COP standards and best practices
· Work as a member of the architecture team to analyze defined project requirements and determine necessary architecture strategies
· Work as a member of the architecture team, under the direction of the Project Manager and Lead Data Architect to design and develop a multi-layer data warehouse to support Integrated Planning related data
· Provide time estimations based on work effort.
· Create necessary architecture artifacts, such as data models, source to target mappings, architecture strategy and other artifacts as required in support of the project
· Create and manage data models
· Leverage and extend the PPDM data model to create a data warehouse
· Assess requirement changes to determine project impact
· Other duties as required in the course of the project.
· Work with the Integration Analysts to develop, revise and troubleshoot data integrations
· Work in partnership with a Java Developer to build datasets for API calls
· Assist in testing and troubleshooting data and integration issues
