Re: [MTC Global] [Brain Storming] Traffic problems in Indian city

Some of the fundamental rules of Brain Storming are:
1. "neither praise nor criticize".
2. Number of ideas is important not the quality
3.Who said it is not so important. Idea is important.
4. Do not evaluate the idea.
when we brainstorm.I suggest that as Management Teachers & trainers let us follow these rules (if we can).

Subject: Re: [MTC Global] [Brain Storming] Traffic problems in Indian city

Dear All,

Without politicizing the traffic problem by criticizing any political party or praising any other political party,  the citizen of India has to brainstorm for the solution. It is the problem of people and it has also been created by the people. They themselves are responsible for such problems. The authorities are always moving in the city along with a convey of vehicles to show their strength without concern for the trouble they create for the people. Almost all Political parties go on for Dharna and Pradarshan for resolving some common men issues and in turn creating trouble for the same common men.
The leaders of different religions in the name of Dharma take out procession to show the strength of their religion without the motto of Dharma that nobody should be troubled through Mansa, Vacha and Karmana. The people celebrate various festivals by troubling the common people of the country. The traffic police who is responsible for maintaining smooth flow of traffic is busy in collecting bribes from the traffic violators and or themselves creating traffic problems by stopping the vehicles unnecessarily.

The authorities first take leadership to show their concern for traffic problem by avoiding convey of vehicles along with them rather they can pool the cars to cut short the Governments expenditures. Just by conducting meetings in AC rooms and bringing new formulas and policies only for others will not bring any change.

The traffic problem can be resolved if the traffic police manages the traffic properly by placing the traffic personnel at the places of heavy traffic and monitoring them properly.

The Religious Committees should avoid religious processions and can contribute a lot to the solution.

The festivals and other celebrations like marriage need to be celebrated without creating problems to other, choosing specific places for celebrations.

The people must understand the difference between need and greed. They might have money to purchase new cars every fortnight but the Government should form the policies to stop such kinds of practices.

Dear all.
One of the best solution for the traffic problem is to make all our roads completely traffic signal free. This will reduce congestion. It could involve investment. But it would be a good long time solution.

I would like to  hear your opinion on solution for traffic problems in India.. What are some best solutions you can think of to improve traffic on Indian streets?  Odd-Even strategy in Delhi is a success story.

We can send the report to Government after we a have good discussion on the subject.
