Profiling S. Cameroonians in Y'dé Prisons: Detainee 0001, MANCHO BIBIXY
This forum begins its series on the profiles of Southern Cameroonian detainees in Yaoundé prisons. Their release has been the bone of contention and would certainly determine the outcome of an already eight month old crisis that is shaking the foundation of Cameroon's 'unity.'
Let's start with Mancho Bibixy, the father of the Coffin Revolution.
Charged with demanding a return to federalism and for attempting to "partition Cameroon through the creation of the State of Ambazonia," he is also being judged for not being in possession of his identity card.
A devout Christian, Mancho who is detained at the Kondengui Central Prison in Yaoundé since January 2017 is described as a courageous Southern Cameroonian and a symbol of the resistance. He is a parent, a teacher and radio host.
