You obviously have one of my patients by mistake. This happens to all of us. I had one 2 weeks ago that is mand arch only. I put them on and the first thing out of her mouth is "I don't think I can do this" 10 minutes of assistant comforting later-- she finally leaves. She then calls back the same day and comes in the next day to tell me that the lateral bracket is larger than the centrals bracket and could I change the bracket to the smaller one. She didn't make it back to me my office coordinator told her that is was completely normal and we would see her in a month. Haven't seen her again yet (about 2 weeks away). This was LOWER only and I've known her personally for about 10-15 years and she's 40 years old. I just laugh it off now and tell them we have done hundreds of cases and it will all be fine. Standard for us to tell them is the first month is the most uncomfortable and 2nd month is the month they move the most. If we can get them to month 3--its the home stretch anyway. Only had 1 pt ever take them off in hundreds of cases and she paid half of our fee and is still a pt. Good luck--women are crazy (jk kind of)
