Re: [ACEsthetics] Sedated patients cooperation

Only did the course in Feb of this year.

The patients that I have sedated have been great - everything from perio to restorative to implants.

Bite block is the way to go. Otherwise, they don't need to go so deep under sedation. "Go low, go slow"

Just had a patient who did the 'little pill' before he came in for several units.
He was almost asleep the whole appointment. And we only gave him ONE .5 mg of Triazolam!
He's not a tiny guy, but HOW do people get dental work done when they're half freaking asleep!? How can we do the very best dentistry, occlusion, margins..preps, when they
're continually closing down or not following instructions!?
TOUGH case! Ug!
I don't like sedated patients! He's a good friend of mine too..I've known him for many years..
