Is that the young guy that followed me up to my room trying to sell me and kept cutting the fee to where he said I would be crazy to turn him down.  I can never remember such a hard sell in all my years in dentistry.

Great, Tim.  I know Maroon.  He can get a bit like me and set some asses on fire.  I may have to call upon Todd to help me with these damned credit card people.  My goal is to get them so they can do no business in Georgia.  I know Steve thought we were negligent for not checking monthly but we assumed they were being  batched as before and were told they were.  “Change to us and nothing changes other than a lower fee and the free swipes on the computer monitors”...bulls—t.  This is a company recommended by possibly the largest dental supply company in the world and they screwed me.  NEVER has Schein been anything but helpful and apologetic if something goes wrong.  They need to separate themselves from these crooks.  I hope Todd can help us rid ourselves of these people.  We’ve got a state senator and the attorney general’s office cocked and loaded.

Why were they allowed to market at an ACE meeting?  Does someone not research this companies before they appear to be backed by ACE?  I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado at a wedding and the first thing my wife tossed on the bed was a magazine called Style with Top Dentists of Colorado Springs blown all over the cover.  Might be a different group but this had a disclaimer stating selection was by a vote of their peers and none of the dentists had paid a penny to be listed.  Been in this business for a long time and getting that kind of vote in any given community would be a hoot.  If it was a vote of peers then these are the only people to send in their ads and glamour photos and thei all voted for themselves.  One was a Comfort Dental clinic.  One of the guys with the biggest glossy supposed had practiced in Hawaii for a couple of years and was so good that people were flying in from the mainland and from Japan to get the cosmetics done but for some reason he left the Garden of Eden and moved here.

When ACE has one tainted supported group it taints them all.  I'm not saying they are all tainted but if I were Russ I'd be pissed because it is going to cast doubt on him, Springstone, and any other group we support.  I remember Dan Fischer telling me about selling Astringedent out of the trunk of his car at Hinman because he was to young to have developed a rep...even though he knew he had a great product Hinman would not let him on the floor.  You bet he's their now but you screw clients and Hinman comes after you and you never get back on the floor.  This really hurts all the good companies we back.  I'm not an owner in ACE but if I were I'd want a pound of flesh from these yo yos.  Guy

The approach they used at the Scottsdale meeting in November was bogus, and once I got home and did my research, called them on it, and never opted into our agreement.

Gary,

This really pisses me off to no end! I have a few people working on this behind the scenes to see if it can be resolved for you.

I can assure you that TopDentists will NEVER be allowed to another ACE event! This is NOT how we want ACE docs treated.

Thanks for letting us know about this.

Just wanted to vent and hope no one runs into the same problem I am having with a company that came to one of the ACE sponsored events. The company is called Top Dentists.

The are supposed to help promote your web site by using various methods which the end results would be to have more patients calling your office. I have been with them since Sept

and have made every effort to do what they have suggested to enhance my presence on the web. When I originally signed up at the Ace meeting I was skeptical and not really thinking that this service was something I needed so initially I did not want to be involved. After talking to the rep, Jim Mckenzie I was assured that after giving the service a try for a few months I could discontinue the service. I took him at his word that I could do that. After repeatably, for several months letting them know that I was not happy with the results I was getting (Only 2 calls to my office from their efforts in 6 months of their service) I wanted to discontinue with them. I then get a call from a different rep telling me since I had signed a contract that they are going to force me to stay on for 6 more months. I told him that I was not happy with  that and they have not delivered in what they promised but he insisted a contract is a contract. I'm just pissed that I trusted their rep and went against my better instincts to us a company like this.

So just be aware if you run into this company at other meetings, Ok feel a little better after venting!!!
