You will recall that I was not pretending to write the history of the Ngemba Tribe in my brief complementary note to Dr. Ayim with special regards to the newly created web site of the Widikum Clan. For your information, I simply recalled what I was taught in primary school (many years ago). I thought you'd congratulate me for making good use of my long-term memory by remembering details of what I was taught in Standard 2, and not challenge me for not providing details. Is there anything wrong with recalling what one was taught in school? Since you are from Upper Ngemba Tribe, why not embark on conducting the research that will culminate in a write-up about this concern? My suggestion will give you the opportunity to contribute to knowledge - what we desperately need. Thanks. I consider this matter closed.

We are tired of hearing when there was a poor harvest of corn and the farm got burned many years ago. What was the name of the father, the Paramount Chief? Was that when they arrived Ntarikon? What year? Do these present day occupants of the Widekum area have anything to do with the Nguembas? It would not surprize me if these present day Widekum came from the Dinka tribe of Sudan. Oh, Nguemba came from Widekum and settled at Ntarikon and spread from there. When did that happen? Some details please. Thank You.Blessed Be Cameroon

Professor Ayim:The contents of the Widikum Clan and Tribe web-site is quite informative. For the information of readers, my ancestors (of the present Ngemba Tribe) originated from Widikum. They left Widikum because their father - the Paramount Chief - died and the Princeses were fighting to take the throne. Since it was not possible for all the able and qualified princes to ascend to the throne, the Princeses began emigrating westwards to found the present Ngemba Tribe - each village headed by one of the sons of the Paramount Chief of Widikum. I was taught the History of the Ngembas when I was in Standard 2 at RCM Mankon, Bamenda some years ago.Finally, I enjoyed watching the nail-biting penalty shots that gained victory for the Mayoka team over the Climbers team. I could not help noticing genuine Southern Cameroonians enjoying themselves in a disciplined manner as depicted in the video clips. Thanks for sharing. The other alternative left for us is the conflict model [option TWO], which still must be FULLY ENGAGED recognizing that it has its own set rules! CAUTION!! we must get our people "hurriedly" mobilized TO ACTUALIZED THEIR RIGHTS TO THEIR NATIONALITY as AMBAZONIANS and not fight Cameroon as 'southern cameroonians". To call ourselves 'SOUTHERN CAMEROONIANS', can hardly be recognized by observers as an act of "self-determination". It is time to think SMARTER even while we get ANGRIER!
