| # Positions | Client is looking for a Senior Java Developer/Architect/Data Modeler who has experience migrating from Groovy Grails to Java. This is a long-term opening, initially for 3 months
The client prefers local people but the person can work remotely with one day onsite. No expenses will be paid for onsite travel H1's / EAD/ US Citizens/ GC okay
Interview Process: 3 stage 1) Phone Screen 2 )Data Modeler Exercise & more technical screening. 3 )In person interview
Contractor - Sr. Groovy/Grails/Java Engineer Mandatory Job Requirements: Experience: 8 -10 + years' experience with application development; ideally focus on enterprise-level systems Great communication skills The position is ~90% hands-on Technical skills Required: Core Java; Groovy/Grails; SQL/MySQL Flex; Spring; Experience with big data and other application frameworks Nice to have: GWT; DHTML; Hibernate We expect excellent core Java skills, ideally using latest JDK6 and having used Java in most recent several years.
Job Responsibility/Role The candidate's role is to take full ownership of a key part of our system, the Pipeline Analytics (PA) engine. PA is used in conjunction with our proprietary versioned Database system, as well as our application UI (User Interface) . It is built on a Groovy/Grails/Flex stack. Ideally, the candidate becomes the go-to person for all aspects of the PA architecture. Responsibilities include maintenance, support, testing, and building enhancements. Work may include refactoring or migration of certain aspects of the system.
