Please allow me to vent. Only other dentists can respect how difficult some days are. I have let 3 patients go in the past 24 hours. The first was a new patient yesterday afternoon who argued with my assistant and front desk about payment. He came in for our free consultation. We make it very clear it is free. However if they want to have records taken , x-rays, models etc , there is a fee. After careful explanation he continues, then argues about paying for the records. BYE BYE. Lady this morning , new , came in on emergency, broken 18 , 19. Recommend crowns. We have time. Then she proceeds top bad mouth prior dentist and his "shitty" work on number 14. He remade it for her twice, it looked reasonably well. Her complaint was the shape tapered . I explained it was because of her occlusion . Long story short , bad vibes . I explained that I did not feel I could make her happy. Bye Bye. Next , A hissidic jewish lady , the family are all patients. Great family. She constantly belittles our work . Does not like her mothers teeth. "They look like horse teeth . " By the way her mother loves them , and if I do say so they look great. I have done her 2 sisters teeth as well. All happy good patients. She came in complaining again about her crowns , 18 , 19 , and 20 , which we recently did. Adjust bite Meds given , poss RCT in future. The problem is her attitude with my team and me. She just has an air and attitude , argumentative , and I no longer feel the patient/doctor relationship is there. Bye Bye. Some days are tough. Thanks for listening. I do not type well so the entire stories are not being given , but you get the idea...........I really can not wait for Hawks Cay now !!!!
