Re: Fwd: [MTC Global] Staff Crunch in B-School

The Controversy about old and young is meaningless.  I have seen some old people who keep on professing the outdated old practices which they were following when they were Managers.  At the same time I know lots of youngsters who have never kept themselves abreast with latest developments and keep on harping on what they  read in some outdated  text books  in the college.  Therefore, what is important is whether we have kept ourselves abreast with the latest developments irrespective  of the age.

The statement of Dr.PR. Bhattacharya    -  " Most of these oldies either do not
have any idea about the oppression in privtae institutes......"  is a hurting statement. Dr.Bhattacharya should understand that that our Country is governed by so called OLDIES only.  As veterans Let us not disregard or belittle anybody's capacity or  presenting ability or the spirit of participation by age factor.  It is the content and quality of delivery that is important and not discrimination by age factor. It is the acceptance by the recipient is of paramount importance irrespective of the fact that the content is dealt with or delivered by the so called OLDIE or Gen -Y.
As Jesus said "" let truth come from any side or through any persons, let us accept."

There is no denying the facts. There is a dire need to train the
existing management teachers in pedagogy as well as to update them
with the developments in the various fields of management.

While a national skill dev centre is a laudable idea, to start with,
MTC may organise Faculty Development programmes in various regions.

My experience shows that need for this is higher in Eastern Region and
in tier-2 and 3 towns across the country ,as these areas find it
difficult to attract good mgmt faculty members.
