Overview
*Coordinates design activities across multiple projects and programs - overseeing the work of multiple architects
*Responsible for defining strategies for the discipline/domain
*Coordinates work across architects in discipline/domain
*Mentors and coaches others in area of expertise
*Partners with enterprise architecture to define and implement domain strategy

Responsibilities
IT Strategy:
*Contribute to the definition of the domain architecture strategy & roadmap
*Contribute toward creating, maintaining, and marketing the architectural vision and direction for a domain
*Align domain architecture with enterprise architecture strategy and guidelines
*Ensuring the applications and the integrations align with the growth strategy of the Organization
*Agile to cover inherited legacy systems as well as other large competing applications
IT Strategy:
*Contribute to the definition of the domain architecture strategy & roadmap
*Contribute toward creating, maintaining, and marketing the architectural vision and direction for a domain
*Align domain architecture with enterprise architecture strategy and guidelines
*Ensuring the applications and the integrations align with the growth strategy of the Organization
*Agile to cover inherited legacy systems as well as other large competing applications
Architecture Planning:
*Develop and document architecture models and/or technical specifications for our domain applications/products (ACI, Loyalty, Seats, INV, Ticketing, PNR, Scheduling, Codeshare etc.)
*Provide direction to internal and external resources during the selection and implementation of systems
*Provide business & technical expertise in defining standard work using available industry best practices in the area of specialization

*Lead teams in solving complex technical problems
*Lead the design effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative environment
*Design innovative solutions to real market problems
*Work closely with product analyst and software engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones
*Identify any integration problems or gaps in functional coverage
Organizational Development:
*Drive & influence continuous improvement
*Lead and manage the development of other architects
*Contribute to success of business systems by providing technical leadership and direction

Qualifications
Education
*Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or Business or equivalent work experience, education, or training required
*Master's degree preferred

*Strong expertise in transport methods including HTTP, MQ, and XML
*Strong Java and object-oriented architecture knowledge and skills
*Staying informed as to industry practices, knowing how to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs
*Prioritization - The ability to successfully manage multiple competing work efforts across multiple teams
