As usual Prof.Dutta shows the way.....Leading with guidelines and both the sharing by Virender Ji and Dr.Gopal....are just the right Start up for many more failures bound to light up MTC's skyline in the next few days. Dr.Gopal - KUDOS for standing upright putting your Values in front of you.... YES ! each and every line you have penned come straight from your Heart.... I cannot but still must say that the River looks Greeeen on the other side perhaps due to the slippery algae which is not visible from the other side....but when we reach there....we realize that the algae which has given the river the green color is not just bad but very bad and slippery.... 5 Pages of sheer Education is what I can comment on your posting.
--HOW TO MANAGE FAILURE--Learning from Failures
Guidelines
Learning at three fronts:
1. Any member may like to evaluate any failure faced by him/her
2. A member may have firsthand knowledge of certain failure, he/she can analyze the cause and effect
3. One may share any published material that may be available on the subject.
There will be two basic provisions to the dialogue:
1. Name of the organization not to be mentioned though other details may be given. ( If one wants to give, s/he is free to do so).
2. Like in the case of organizations, in case the failure story refers to an individual (other than the members himself/herself), name of the individual is not to be mentioned.
3. While narrating the case, sweeping value judgments (like Right or Wrong) may not be passed.
4. If it is the member's own experience, the writer may state:
a) Why does he /she consider it a failure?
b) What is the learning out of it?
5. There cannot be any debate, however, clarification may be sought by the reader and the original writer of the story may respond if he/she feels comfortable.
The purpose of the whole exercise is to learn from others' failure and every reader is free to interpret available information in his/her own way. No debates, no arguments, no correction in the given information or data.
