I've rolled ones like that out several times before. It can work, but like John said, don't force it. If it gets tough, section it.

I’d put an elevator on it first and see if it starts to roll distally. I’d very quick to section it, tho. Sometimes you get lucky.

Hope it’s not a square jaw bruxer with super dense bone.

Take a look at the mesial root on this 3rd.  I’m planning to do a lot of surgery on him under sedation and would love to get this out but I’m a bit concerned with the anatomy.  I would plan to section the tooth B-L and remove some bone at the distal portion of the mesial root then remove.  What would other suggest here?  Even try to roll it out and not section?  Thanks.  WS
