I had the same problems when I had Statims. We use a regular autoclave
and have had no problems. IMO the key to not having handpiece problems is
good lubrication. Lance- that is not a segway for you! :-)

I think having a QuattroCare or the new Statcam (made by the same company
that makes the Statim- which is what we have) makes all the difference in
keeping your handpieces out of the repair shop. I would much rather put
my $ in a good autoclave and automatic lubication station than a Statim.
