Re: [MTC Global] flipped learning

Dear All,

Thanks to Professor Goelji for providing us the concept of 'Flipped Learning' in a concise and compact manner.

On 21st Nov 2012 I have furnished some literature in the matter. Countries like US have been experimenting this concept since the last 4-5 years.

To me 'FL' is more concerned with the mind-set of both students and faculty that helps them facilitating learning anywhere, anytime, with any pace. No doubt the ICT tools like lecture capturing, video, etc., play a key role but beyond this what is needed is the preparedness of both teacher and taught. The entire education system needs revamping including programme strictures. Why do we need 4 hours of theory and 2 hours of practical and so?

The developed countries are analysing the 'FL' based on the outcomes of 'FL' application. I have come across recently two blogs. See the attachment.

You will realise we will have to go a long way to reach the goal.

Regards.

Yours,

This allows students to learn at their own pace by watching the lecture as many times as they need. Schools that have applied this method of teaching in all their classrooms have seen their failure rates drop dramatically.http://www.karmatube.org/videos.php?id=3652
