This is another grey area. Most of the publishers [ 99% and may be 100%] do not pay correct royalty to the authors. Publishing business houses run on the author’s work. But authors are paid very little amount instead of knowing that their books are recommended in various universities and sales are high. If 5000 copies are sold , royalty are paid on 50 Books . Again most of the books are having digital version [E-BOOK] and there is no sales report on the number of e-books are sold. There is no mechanism to check these publishing houses………………Something has to be done. A author writes a book after working so hard day and night and the result is pathetic.
