Responsibilities include analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, documentation and support of EDI applications. This individual must also coordinate teams members assigned to projects and work with external trading partners. He/She will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments, and to assist in implementing new reengineering and improvement processes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepare project plans for small to mid size system projects including specific task identification, dependencies, resource assignments, durations and maintaining estimated time of completion statistics. Coordination of project teams, including reviewing deliverables and providing technical guidance during projects. Conduct feasibility studies and user interviews for the purpose of defining user needs and requirements. Prepare software development specifications including report and screen layouts, database specifications, structure and flow diagrams, and high level program definitions. Coordinate the development, testing and implementation of completed applications. Coordinate the preparation of both IS procedural and end user documentation Prepare and coordinate user-training sessions to support the IS applications developed. Establish post-implementation maintenance support to users. Participate in evaluations and feasibility studies to provide management with recommendations on software and hardware selections. Research and analyze technical issues and business opportunities to identify and recommend cost effective solutions. Conduct vendor research and evaluations to address business needs. Coordinate vendor activity related to specific business and technical integration projects. Coordinate with vendors and trading partners as appropriate during the configuration and implementation of third party software and the installation of new releases, software enhancements and bug fixes. Assist in the preparation of project specific performance evaluations. Analyze, design, test, develop, implement, maintain, enhance and support of Applications. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate degree in computer related sciences or equivalent technical background. Minimum 5 years experience with at least 3 at the systems analyst level. Excellent communications skills and the ability to lead project teams. Detail-oriented, excellent trouble-shooting skills and required self-directed, initiative skills. |
