RE: [ACEsthetics] how would you answer this?

Rick, I’ve never put myself above price shopping but I can’t quote any price until I see what I’m dealing with.  You quote a fee for six veneers and the patient walks in with blown out anteriors that need endo and full or ¾ crowns and suddenly you are a liar.  People tend to remember what they want to remember.

I think we are so used to putting ourselves ABOVE price shopping or comparisons that we ignore the fact that we do the same thing- we compare labs and lab fees, we compare dental supply companies all the time, we often just want to know what sort of numbers we are looking at.
