Re: [AFOaKOM] Re: [cameroon_politics] "Chairman" for senate

It is indeed very strange to read such a very misleading description of chairman Fru Ndi and his political role in Cameroon now, more disheartening that such a myopic and cynical view is coming from the learned Prof. Peter Vakunta. We have lived through the Cameroon political situation since the advent of multi-party politics in 1990. There is abundance of evidence to convince any objective right-thinking person beyond any reasonable doubt that Fru Ndi has stood taller than all other Cameroonian politicians that we have witnessed during the said period. Even Biya and the guy who rigged up to the last elections in Cameroon, Marafa Yaya, inter alia, knows this fact. No single person could do more than what Fru Ndi has done. All of us are partly responsible for Cameroon's situation today. Fru Ndi barks alone and no one comes to his assistance. The change we witnessed in Tunisia, Egypt, Lybia etc was collectively achieved and not only by one person. The senate is a proper forum for Fru Ndi to exemplify his already proven patriotism, hard work, wisdom, credibility, steadfastness and consistency. We need him there. That role will blend well with his capacity as the shadow president of Cameroon.
I am still to see somebody proposed what Fru Ndi would have done and the possible consequences.
   Clement Diensi Monie.

Stubbornness may not be the right epithet to qualify John Fru Ndi. He started off as a visionary in 1990 but has metamophosed into a political liability for change-oriented Cameroonians. It is now clear to some of us that the Chairman is myopic and opportunistic. What a route to take by a man who only yesterday was revered as our MOSES. HOW SAD INDEED! Is there any person out there in Cameroon with balls between his legs to tell Fru Ndi that he is the opposition's abattross and should get lost?

Francis

Go back to the main thrust of your argument that brought about my
comment. Put it side by side the argument I put forward and stop
running staccato.

You said, by accepting to run, Fru Ndi will be humilated by Biya to
proof that he has no base. I gave you a counter argument and you jump
over to the rationality of the Chairman running for the Senate. One
thing you have to know Francis is that as a leader, one has to
decision. People are free to interprete.

Before I go, take this from Sir Winston Churchill: "There are two
things that are more difficult than making an after-dinner speech:
climbing a wall which is leaning toward you and kissing a girl who is
leaning away from you".

All the best

Aaron
