Dear All,
First impression is no doubt plays a significant role at the entry level, later performance plays the role. Since, man cannot peep into, external measures have been advocated that may mislead sometimes.
There is a beautiful story of Buddha:
A man approached Buddha in the morning and asked him. "Do you have faith in God?" Buddha replied "No".
In the evening another devotee approached and asked Buddha "Do you faith in God?" Buddha replied "Yes".
A disciple standing nearby asked Buddha why two different answers?
Buddha replied the man who came in morning was a staunch believer in God and I want to break is ego. The man who came in the evening does not have faith in God, I wanted to break his ego, hence I replied Yes.
Similarly in life what is important what one possess within and not necessarily what you one shows externally. Saint Chokha Mela, an illiterate, from untouchable castes, but very wise person, wrote 800 years ago, "Usa Donga pari Ras nohe donga Kai Bhullasi Varliya Ranga", the sugar cane's external look is not pleasant but its juice is very pleasant like nectar, do not get misled by external appearance.
The recent examples are: Ramkrishna Paramhansa, Ravindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi, Vonoba Bhave,Lal Bahadur Shashri, Dr. Hedgewar, Mamata Banerjee, etc.
Regards.
Yours,

Dear Esteemed MTCians Greetings!Â
I came across one of
the backbencher student who was having unshaved and saggy look, unhooked shirt
buttons and giving rodent reflection. My first impression was like to shout and
punish that student but when i asked questions at the end of my class session,
to my surprise he answered correctly as most of the well dressed were not able
to do. He is one of the most studious minds in my class.

Few servings for
esteemed members
1.    Â
We do think that first impression is the
last one,can it be changed? if yes then what’s the time log?
2.    Â
Don’t we often compare the Desi Indian
product with multinational brand and prefer to choose the later one. Aren’t we making the wrong decision as per
the perceived synonym?
My
take
Formal attire or
packaging – of course it matters but who knows what lies beneath.
Pehle istemal kero phir
viswas kero( First try and then believe- Famous jingle of Ghadi detergent)
Â
I would request all the
esteemed members to share their take.
