Unfortunately We don't have so many Ashtavakras and so many Janakas, but have a majority of those who judge a person with his appearance and all probability they will be conducting those Interviews. And Ashtavakra's dressing is not in question here, but his physical appearance. The topic of discussion is the dress, chappal etc. Also how many years Ashtavakra must have waited to be known to people like Janaka?
Ashatvakra was having a ugly look, bent back (kubra) came in the Raj Sabha of King Janak (father of Sita). Looking at him every body laughed. Janak was suppose to be most learned and spiritual king. He was always looking for learned people. On listening the fame of Ashatvakra ,he invited him.Ashtavakra shouted that he has come in the kingdom of Chamars ( people doing business of dead animal skin) and was going back.KIng Janak intercepted him and asked him , what he meant. Ashatvakra said your kingdom people judge a person from his looks and not by his knowledge / wisdom.King Janak regretted. Ashatvakra became the Spiritual Guru. There is a world famous Book "Ashatvakra Gita ( Body of Knowledge).Raj VermaOn Fri, Mar 1, 2013 at 10:16 AM, Virendra Goel <goel.virendra@gmail.com> wrote:
You cannot ignore action/reaction/response/performance of a person you are dealing with and that definitely will be used for future reference and if a person has enough positive traits to show an impression/opinion get modified automatically.

Dear Esteemed MTCians
We generally say Failure is key to the Success.
So don't we ignore the hidden potential of a person by forming the first impression based on his failure??
your views are requested.

1. Definitely there can be exceptions of geniuses but generally first impression (if derived any prejudices) can be the last impression.
2. Fancy for imported goods used to be a phenomena in the past, today's consumer is much more sensible and looks for value for money.
3. In both the above cases, packaging has its own role to play to influence the perception of the evaluator.

Subject: [MTC Global] "An interview in a Chappal"
Dear Esteemed MTCians
Greetings!
I came across one of the backbencher student who was having unshaved and saggy look, unhooked shirt buttons and giving rodent reflection. My first impression was like to shout and punish that student but when i asked questions at the end of my class session, to my surprise he answered correctly as most of the well dressed were not able to do. He is one of the most studious minds in my class.
Few servings for esteemed members
1. We do think that first impression is the last one,can it be changed? if yes then what's the time log?
2. Don't we often compare the Desi Indian product with multinational brand and prefer to choose the later one. Aren't we making the wrong decision as per the perceived synonym?
My take
Formal attire or packaging – of course it matters but who knows what lies beneath.
Pehle istemal kero phir viswas kero( First try and then believe- Famous jingle of Ghadi detergent)
I would request all the esteemed members to share their take.
