Senior JavaScript/UI/Front-end Developer

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 12-18 months

Rate: $50/Hr

 

In-person interview required after telephonic

 

Description and Responsibilities

Client is looking for an experienced front-end/UI Developer to be a key contributor in our application development group, to work closely with Development and QA team throughout software project iterations and releases and deliver high-quality products.

·         Interact with Business and Development team to build and prototype application features based on brief requirements

·         Produce high quality code that's optimized for performance and scalability

·         Participate in design and code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices

 

Required Skills:

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Expert in JavaScript and libraries such as jQuery, Kendo UI, Knockout, Ext Js etc.

·         Expertise in HTML, CSS

·         MVC and MVVM patterns

·         Exposure to .Net (ASP.NET and .NET MVC)

·         Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills and organizational skills

·         Ability to work with graphic design tools, such as Photoshop

·         Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team

·         Exposure to Agile technologies (SCRUM, XP etc.)

 

Very nice to have:

·         Mobile, HTML5, CSS3

·         Web Services (SOAP, REST)

·         Experience in the financial and banking industry

·         Able to show examples/portfolio of previous work
