Job Requirements:-

 

Senior System Admin with a good understanding of SAN/NAS configuration, Good exposure to file systems, Wintel, Linux, Unix System administration

Work on cost optimization initiatives to reduce SAN, NAS, tape backup usage on PROD, DEV and UAT environment. Work with AD operate to execute on infrastructure rationalization and consolidation initiatives


6-10+ years of strong experience in Redhat Linux administration RH4.x, 5.x, 6.x
6+ years of experience in Sun Solaris Operating system version 8,9,10
6+ years of VERITAS Cluster, Redhat Cluster experience
Extensive experience with EMC, HItachi and IBM SAN Storage on Linux/Solaris servers.
Extensive experience and understanding of Netapps NAS appliances with replication configurations.
Performed lead role in delivering major projects.
Experience in managing large infrastructure project deliverables
Experience in Linux kernel internals, building customized kernels and customized RPM packages
Financial Industry experience is a big plus
Good working knowledge of Keon, LDAP environment.
Expert Knowledge of Linux Kernel and Network subsystem tuning and optimization
Strong programming skills with Perl, awk, sed, Shell script (Bourne, C, Korn)
Solid understanding of TCP/IP and basic networking - ability to use and understand output of tcpdump/snoop.
Administration of Unix core services and applications such as NIS, NFS, automount, DNS, DHCP, Samba, SendMail, Apache, NTP, sudo, Jumpstart/Kickstart, LDAP, SSH
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (Solaris Zones, Xen, VMWare, etc.) Working knowledge with various hardware including HP Blade Chassis, DL585s, Sun M5K,4K
