Position: Data Analyst
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 12+ Months
This position is for a senior data analyst with experience in process improvement. Person will be responsible for driving process improvement by analyzing data and finding opportunities. The individual in this role will work very closely with the six sigma team with their data needs. Strong analytic skills and attention to detail are essential.
CRITICAL SKILLS:
1. Very strong SQL skills on Oracle and Teradata
2. Experience as IT business liaison. Strong ability to work with business clients and technical IT team members to gather business requirements and provide required data.
3. Experience with full development lifecycle in large Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
2. ∙ Data extraction using SQL on Oracle
∙ Data analysis in BI tool or excel using pivot tables, charts, power pivot, etc.
∙ Develop and maintain reports and analysis
∙ Convert data and statistics into a insights and actions
∙ Create executive presentations and present to senior management
∙ Project management
∙ Business analysis
Qualifications:
∙ Expertise in writing complex SQL statements
∙ Experience with Oracle Data warehouse
∙ Familiarity with BI tools.
∙ Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite of products – Primarily Excel and Powerpoint
∙ Strong communication skills – oral and written
DESIRED SKILLS:
3. Good communication and inter-personal skills highly desired
∙ Six sigma certification (not required but preferred)
