[MTC Global] Guest Lecture

Dear Dr.Appalayya Ameesala,
Your analysis on Ph.D programmes is giving lot of learnings. It appears that such programmes are more of commercial value than of academics. Almost all post graduates pursue Ph.D., programmes to become doctorates which may in due course become a minimum qualification to take up teaching profession in colleges.
Mastering to acquire Doctorate degree,  on one side is purely of academic interest, and on the other side,  to settle down in life with nothing to achieve further.

Dissemination of knowledge acquired through such doctorate programmes and imparting education to students should be equally balanced. Ph.D should not be alone on the paper but it should be reflected in the teaching skills and sharing of knowledge.

Obtaining such honours in '60s and '70s was a rare phenomena and now it has become like Limited Overs Cricket.

Securing doctorates degree does not end the process of learning but the intricacies of Learning and Education starts there only.

Let such rare privileges help the society at large and not to enhance or enrich oneself  or to attain personal goals.
