Job Description:
| Immediate need for an Oracle BI/Analytics Consultant in New York City, New York. Join an Industry leader as a Full Time strategic consultant in a Global Practice. Responsibilities: · Able to position, present and evangelize the value proposition for Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions in general, and for Oracle BI/DW/ETL solutions in particular · Able to understand and articulate what the client really needs (even when they cannot) · Able to understand the larger context (the big picture) in which their efforts are a part · Able to design, develop, configure and optimize complex ETL packages and process flows · Able to design, develop, configure and optimize OBIEE reports and dashboards using the most current versions · Able to make tactical technical decisions that are aligned with the established technical strategy and framework Qualifications:· Minimum 5 years direct (hands on) experience developing data warehouse and reporting solutions with Oracle BI technologies (OWB, ODI, OBIA, OBIEE, PeopleSoft EPM, etc.)· 2 years direct experience architecting, designing, configuring and implementing Oracle BI reporting environments · 2 years direct experience leading or managing teams involved in technical implementations and/or data warehouse development projects employing the Oracle BI toolset · Outstanding client-interfacing skills. Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external clients. · Excellent communication skills – both oral and written · Self-motivated, responsible, efficient and organized · Professional and cordial demeanor. Able to shepherd clients toward success. · Experienced in developing large Oracle-based data warehousing environments · Possesses a working understanding of logical and physical database design · Direct experience with dimensional data modeling · Experienced in writing functional and technical specifications · Able to lead teams of consultants engaged in client projects. Able to mentor junior resources. · Able to work independently, with a high level of performance, with minimal direct supervision · Able to gather, interpret, clarify and refine business requirements – and provide solid recommendations for cost-efficient, value-add enhancements · Able to estimate work effort accurately, and then meet all delivery commitments. · Able to foster true collaboration with client and other CIBER resources to ensure output reports meet the defined business needs, and exceed client expectations. · Oracle DBA and BI certifications are a plus · Experience with other RDBMS platforms, ETL tools and/or BI reporting applications is a plus · Consulting experience is a plus |
