RE: [ACEsthetics] Re: Why people buy

I have gotten new patients but a very few compared to the partners due to the contract.  All I've gotten are those who specifically request me.  All others go to the partners.  This has been the policy for 11 years.  Naturally I have had patients request me only.  I have been able to move some of my old patients over to the partners in preparation for retirement.  I'll be 70 next March.  I had planned on retiring at 67 but enjoy this too much.

Have not taken a new patient in 11 years except those who request me specifically.  Yes, I get a lot of cosmetic referrals and broken down mouths.  Some get to the young guys and they don't want to try it.  I still get endo referrals.

Guy,

Did you say you are not taking new patients?  Unless they ask for you?

Do you have new patients with broken down mouths come to you often?  By word of mouth or marketing or both?

I've got three ladies in the office that I did 4-13 on and they are a walking demo.  You can't tell they have restorations but have beautiful natural smiles.

This person bought because Joleen said "You can have teeth that look like mine!"

Of course this was after spending an hour with her the first exam a month before, two sessions with our massage therapist and another hour of talking to Joleen about pain, cosmetics, etc.

Another life changing event thanks to Williams Lab!

One of the things we teach is the DBM (Dominate Buying Mode), what it is and how to find it.  After a long conversation of getting to know this patient and his wife (spouse coming for complete exam is a good sign), Joleen discovered why they made the appointment.  The main reason they made an appointment?  Daughter's wedding.  Didn't like the metal showing.  Time was an issue.  Wedding was in ONE week.

Joleen discovered the need, came up with a solution and patient has a life changing event with a value more important than say a car that will quickly depreciate over time.

Bob Clark made the cosmetics and timing work for us and for the patient.  These are temporaries with a week turnaround.

Some people with spend money on teeth and some will not.
