Re: [MTC Global] BREAKING NEWS

It is definitely a good news for employees and shareholders of Infosys, and IT industry , as a whole  as Narayan Murthy is expected to turn around Infosys, back to the glory of yester years.

While the decision is the prerogative of the Board and share holders of Infosys, a few thoughts, ( though they may sound contrarian) looking at Infosys, as a management case study:

1. Was the model of leadership ( CEO) rotation among the promoters ( without considering the individual capabilities) right?  .
More so, as a public limited listed company ( and not a partnership company)?

2. Was it right for every promoter CEOs exiting operational roles , after expiry of his term ( without maintaning continuity of strategies of earlier CEO)?

3. Is induction of Rohan ( son of NRN) into Infosys ( irrespective of the role) , in conformance with the established corporate governance norms of Infosys?

4. There seems to be an all round consensus that there are gaps in the current leadership, which led to lack lustre performance of Infosys for the last 2 years. . Considering that Infosys was well known to develop leaders and was supposed to have a rich funnel of leaders within, why was it not possible to induct young internal ( non promoter ) talent into the new top management / transformational leadership team ? Would it not have given a more motivating message to the employees of Infosys?
