UB Lecturers to Report to Police Again!/ Student Leaders in Court Today

The ten University of Buea  lecturers who were questioned by security services in Buea are due to report at the police station when ever they are wanted.
This is what filtered after they were grilled for a greater part of yesterday on their role in the unending strike action in UB.

A security source said the lecturers refused and preferred to be jailed than give the password of their email addresses to the men in uniform. The lecturers left the police station late in the evening of June 4 2013 and were charged with involvement and sponsoring the student unrest. Charges they all denied. Synes Buea is due to grant a press conference later today ....

Meanwhile the 16 Student leaders of UB who are awaiting trial at the Buea prison are by now before judges of the Buea court of first instance to answer charges of destruction of property and for taking the VC hostage during the february and May 15 2013 demonstrations.

Their defence lawyer, Keme Nicolas was reportedly  denied access to the in-camera hearing but for the intervention of the former Bar Council President Eta Besong Junior.

Witness say a mix contingent of about 100 policemen and gendarmes have been deployed around the court premises.

the court session is yet to be over.....
