JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Mobile User Experience Designer to work on the applications for mobile devices.  Qualified candidates should be prepared to provide an online portfolio or other examples of previous work with their resume submission. It's a fulltime position with benefits for Tata Consulting Services, a large global consulting company.  May require occasional travel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Design high quality visual and interactive mobile/web experiences for all properties across iPhone / iPad / Android /Blackberry Torch / Playbook / Windows 7 and other platforms
• Analyze competitor offerings, customer feedback, site metrics and usability reports to create user-centered designs
• Assess product, user research and design requirements
• Deliver platform-specific design artifacts to development team
• Communicate concepts through sketches, diagrams, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
• Presents and defends designs at key milestones
• Work with cross-functional teams to manage and deliver design assets on time, as well as champion the best possible user experience for our customers
• Work with UI developer, development team to implement the design

             

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferably 1-3 or 4-6 yrs  of mobile/web design experience, preferable for a high-volume Internet/high tech company
• Degree in related discipline - Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information Design, or related field
• Strong understanding of technical constraints and specifications for designing platform-specific mobile design assets
• Expertise in best practices for mobile design, as well as solid experience in designing usable user interfaces
• A good understanding of user-centered design process
• Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color and page layout, and a great eye for detail
• Experience with taking a data-driven approach to design
• Proven ability to work closely with engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the product cycle.
• Ability to meet aggressive deadlines for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work independently
• Passion for innovation and keeping up with the latest mobile technology trends
