I had to give up on the H&H. I used it for a while with great success, but then suddenly NOTHING fit. I checked every part of the process. Nothing helped. I was using the exact same combo you just posted, and used the technique just as Mike Barr posted on YT.
I KNOW the technique works. It worked for a while, but I couldn't afford the remakes. My labs are much happier with me now.
I'm glad it is working for you.

If the lab knows it is an H & H impression and it is a good lab they deal with easily. I haven't noticed Mila and World doing anything different. One lab added more die spacer and we ended up with a loose crown. World has no problems. Another plus...last week we met with accountant to settle up the quarter and see where things are half way through the years. Our supply bill was down about 2%. I came back to the office and spent a little time looking at the cost of Aquasil Heavy vs Blue Mousse and that easily could be a huge portion of our drop in supply bill. I use Pentron Correct bite material in a cheap triple tray for the impression. I've found one called the Shark that has sides and produces a much better initial impression of the pre-prep tooth. I've got a couple of different trays now that I use according to the patient. The biggest shortcoming I found is locating a decent full arch tray for the technique. I managed with the bridge last week but had to cut off the support plastic rim on the distal of opposite side from the impression to get it comfortable. **Jeffrey is using a different material than Blue Mousse with the same hardness number but I wonder if it will be cheaper when available to us. But Jeffrey is also doing what I do on cases often. He is taking the impression out of the mouth, cleaning it well, drying it and then reseating it. I often do this in order to pick up a good opposing impression. As long as you get it back in withing five or ten minutes you are fine. It is a magnificent technique producing super impressions on extremely difficult cases I have to deal with. When you have to put purple flowable on the margin of the box form to tell when you are on tooth with your prep you are really crown lengthening with a bur...and I do a lot of these. World now does a great job with them and e.max. Guy*
