We have an Urgent  Requirement on Web Developer/Programmer
 
Job title : Web Developer/Programmer
Location : Cambridge, MA
Duration : 6 months
 
Skill set: 
- The ideal candidate has at least five years' experience in the development of commercial software.
- They have either experience in quantitative applications or background in Maths, Statistics, or a field that relies on quantitative methods (e.g. quantitative social or experimental sciences).
- They are a skilled programmer in at least two modern languages, one of which is Java. Python, Ruby or Scala would be a good second languages, or a functional language like Erlang, LISP, or its ilk. The main point is that they are not a single language / one-trick pony.
- They are able to communicate very effectively, understand complex ideas quickly, and solve problems creatively.  
- They are not dogmatic about how things must be done. They are willing to bend to fit the situation. A bit of hacker mentality as opposed to highly structured methodical.
- Located in or willing to relocate to Cambridge 


Job Requirements:  
Nice to have:
- Agile experience
- Some work with a web development framework like Ruby on Rails or Play framework.
- Some understanding of Web2.0 / JavaScript client-side development.
- Interest in algorithmic programming, state machines, use of heuristic models for algorithm development etc.
- Prior experience with startup is a plus
