I am shocked and horrified at the attitude of the interviewer. In all likelihood the interviewer is a politician. Because No academician can stoop to such low level. This is the highest form of disrespect for the teachers and making mockery of a candidate in a selection process. Dr Suresh, can we name and shame such institutes ? Difficult as it may be but it will help lot of other candidates escape from this kind of unprofessional and unpleasant interaction.

I would like to share my experience in an interview for Assistant Professor In Marketing which was held very recently.
Q1: Why do you keep Dr. before your name as you are not medical practitioner?
a) I tried to defend expertise in an area… but no time to listen my words… a great laugh.
Q2. Who has created ‘Trisanku swargam”?
a) No answer from my side as am poor in puranas. ……..Satire on my Career Objective
Q3. Is Konda Surekha, a Tigress? (She is the local Ex MLA in my region)
a) My answer “ Of course, her way of leading the party and activists and the way she has defended in the recently concluded election ensures the caliber as a tigress. But reply, She is a woman, how can she be Tigress……… Great Laugh.
Q4. You said you stay in Tiger Hills Colony? How many tigers are there?
a) I said, Once people used to say the place is sensitive area as some people found tigers, after some years, the name of the colony created in that name……… But the reply is another comedy…..
Interview is over…. You can leave now.
This is the way; our interview process is going on for recruiting a faculty in Management.
Let us hope and pray for change in the mindset of interviewers to judge the performance of Management Faculty and let us rebuild the value of management education.
