Re: Re: [MTC Global] 250 banned colleges in Nagpur for not appointing NET/SET qualified teachers

Dear Sirs, The UGC-NET or the PhD have been specified for the payment of Sixth pay
Commission salaries in AICTE approved institutions. One finds various
interpretations chosen by B schools for recruiting faculties. It is all a matter
of supply and demand. Some institutions use these recommendations to reject people
and others to accept people for measly salaries, still others demand other kinds
of experience such as industry contacts, ability to pull students to the
institute, global exposure, political contacts, etc.
One cannot complain about market practice.
Best regards,

UGC-NET qualified individuals are not treated with respect anywhere in

India (perhaps I shall say respected by only those UGC-NET), these

individuals are downplayed by several senior most academicians during

interviews. All are interested in PhD, while I accept the superiority

of PhD in academics, also need to look at the worsening state of PhD

qualification. I personally know people acquiring PhD just by paying

few lump-sums of money, and getting placed in Deemed Universities

other Autonomous institutions, same individuals turn up as guides.

There are also great institutes that are strictly confined to quality,

we need to respect these institutions for they always at the helm of

the domain.

At some time, I heard from some senior academician saying that UGC-NET

is only a test/exam but it doesn't vouch skill, in which case, where

there are no tests? does it mean that those academic qualifications

that are acquired by tests/exams are useless qualifications? If that

is the case a typical PhD is also mere submission of dissertation.

Where is ideal PhD work? is a typical PhD work has such a stamina to

be prescribe under the syllabus under somewhere? There are pros and

cons every where! the argument is not about the superiority or

inferiority but about regulations. We know why Govt. of India came up

with such a vigorous norms. Is it fair on our part to treat things

beyond regulations, if so, by what capacity do individuals speak

against regulations?

It is clear that those who can not qualify UGC-NET criticize the same,

individuals who after several attempts could not qualify this, and

develop negative attitude to the same and start slinging dust over

those qualified.

I am sorry if I spell my message in emotion! but dear brothers and

sisters, we all are simple beings need to act by rationality but not

by assessments at the cost of our professional success. I know,

individual's suffering to wrong evaluations and assessments. There are

individuals who loose opportunity by these unrighteous assessments

during interviews.

Surprisingly, these typical institutions could select individuals with

PhDs, irrespective of their research stamina, but it is unfortunate to

see individuals with good research stamina without PhD loosing

opportunity.

I humbly ask a question, what is the actual requirement? is it

qualification or quality?

The following statement by Wilson Mizner ( a famous American

playwright) at times appears to be true, he said: "If you steal from

one author it's plagiarism; if you steal from many it's research."
