How embarrassing for the chiropractic community. Sadly, from my experience, there are many chiropractors that think like that (probably the majority from my experience).
Luckily for me, I was able to meet two chiropractors 32 years ago who impressed the heck out of me. With the problems I was having (due to a weight-lifting injury during dental school), they truly changed my life.
