RE: [ACEsthetics] N2 removal...?

Pete:

Very difficult to answer as there has never been a standard formulation of sargenti paste.  In general, one removes the most superficial layers, generally the hardest, using us instrumentation under magnification.  Once the harder superficial layers are breached, the paste in the lower part is often softer and can be retrieve with us and files and lots of irrigation.  To my knowledge, there is no known solvent for this or its close cousin, Russian red, another formaldehyde containing sealer.

Subject: [ACEsthetics] N2 removal...?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to remove set N2 paste from a root canal?

Basically it’s sort of like ZOE with a bit of formaldehyde in it.  Some of them stay “soft” forever but others do harden up.

It seems like concrete but I dunno.  Any magic solvents or instruments?

Sincerely,

Peter Campbell
