First at Govt.Level Manpower Planning should be a dynamic process,
Professional bodies like NASSCOM, CII, FICCI etc also do an execrcise of Manpower Planning. In Public Sector as well as good Private co's also do an exercise,
Professional Trainings are available from Computer Society of India (Mumbai Chapter) , MTNL in Telecmmunication, MSME and many organiations are doing.
Who is stopping Industry Academia Interaction. Most of the Academic Institutes first learn to behave with Industry. Money making business is another hindrance by Institutions. They are not bothered about students doing projects in Industry. Institutes started charging money Rs 10,000 onwards to do project in college itself. This greed has extended to some of the Corporates. They have also started paid projects. I find in Chandigarh and Delhi many Private Cos engaged in paid projects.

Subject: [MTC Global] UN Post 2015 Goals on Education
--UN millennium developmental goals on education did not meet the expectation. Now, UN Post 2015 goals on Education……
1. By 2030, all children and youth should complete primary and lower secondary education which enables them to meet measurable learning standards and acquire relevant skills so they may become responsible, productive members of society.
2. Corporations should conduct an inventory of skills and create a detailed estimate of the kinds and amounts of skills they require. Based on these needs, they should conduct skills training programs, and diploma and certificate courses in partnership with government agencies.
