Job Description:Challenges and Responsibilities
·        Works with the business users to understand needs, capture requirements, create prototypes, and recommend solutions that meet the needs.
·        Applies a thorough knowledge of the business intelligence environment and capabilities to solve business problems.
·        Understands and can communicate the value of solving identified problems in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
·        Provides excellent customer support to the user organization in an efficient and responsive fashion.
·        Reviews work of project team members and performs quality assurance reviews, as necessary.
·        Coordinates application development, quality assurance, training, and documentation with user sponsor(s) and other IS personnel for small to medium projects and support releases.  Has responsibility for successful implementations.
·        Creates and executes test scripts against developed solutions.


 


Job Requirements: Skills and Requirements
·        Demonstrated success delivering Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse solutions.
·        Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communications.
·        Working knowledge of analytical techniques and process to implement solutions.
·        Strong understanding of and ability to write SQL.
·        Working knowledge of and proven application of Business Intelligence software tools (i.e. Cognos, Business Objects).  Cognos experience is a plus.
·        Working knowledge of Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing principles.
·        Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles (waterfall, iterative, agile, etc.).
·        Demonstrated experience testing BI solutions.
