One of the United States' premier,  private, independent securities regulator/firm worth over $2 billion in assets is seeking Software Developers with 5+ years of experience and Software Developers with 7-8 years of experience in the following.  Working onsite in Rockville. 
The Software Automation Test Developer will assist in the successful completion of software projects by developing and executing software testing components, developing automation solutions throughout the software development life cycle to identify issues within the software under test. The test tools and components developed include, but not limited to; load and performance test tools, data generators, simulator tools, application modeling tools, API/Interface testing tools, application service test tools, backend job testing tools and automation development. The junior Software Automation Developer  is also actively involved in test case development, test results analysis, defect reporting, requirements review, test case review, code review and software architecture review.
·         Develop scripts, utilities, simulators, data generators and other programmatic test tools as required to execute tests.
·         Automation development and test solutions development.
·         Create and execute test cases based on test strategies and test plans.
·         Participate in reviews of system architecture, code and design documents.
·         Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats.
·         Support test lead to identify risks and to develop mitigation strategies. May perform load and performance tests.
Requirements
·         Experience with programming in either C/C++, Java, C#.
·         SQL, XML
Preferred
·         Experience with the Unix/Linux environment.
·         Hadoop
