Location: Oklahoma City

Duration: 1 year with a possibility of extension

Job Description:

Ø Our client is looking for a IT Project Manager located in our Oklahoma City facility reporting to the IT Infrastructure Project Management Office (IPMO) whose mission is to foster excellence in project management within the IT Infrastructure and Operations organization.

Ø The IPMO will employ and promote the standards and best practices for project management.

Ø The IPMO provides internal consulting, mentoring, program and project management, and project portfolio management assistance to advance company's goals.

Position responsibilities include:
• Manage multiple projects from concept to completion
• Assign and track project deliverables using the CA Clarity Project Portfolio Management software
• Understand the Data Center requirements and manage the creation and implementation of programs and projects that meets those requirements
• The project manager makes day-to-day tactical decisions, identifies necessary resources, creates the project schedule, and orchestrates and communicates deliverables to management and cross functional teams
• Internally the project manager acts as a team leader by driving project issue resolution and looking ahead to keep the team on track and the project on time
• Externally the project manager will act as a single point of contact for all Data Center customer initiatives
• Researches, analyzes and resolves problems as needed
• Lead and participate in meetings to help identify project goals and gain consensus on project steps, schedule, priorities and implementation procedures
• Foster cooperation and involvement of the various groups. Work with cross-functional teams on the project requirements gathering, implementation, testing and production readiness of the new systems deployed
• Helps to drive process excellence through all projects, starting with defining and implementing more efficient and flexible process for project initiation and deployment
• Strong partnering and alignment with key IT partners to define functionality that reflects the business needs
• Very strong negotiation and communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Initiative and a willingness to take ownership of high-profile projects cross-organizationally and cross-functionally.
