Skills Required and Job Description:

Required Skills: Working knowledge of desktop OS subsystems - process, storage, memory, file systems, etc. 2 -3  years Experience with desktop virtualization technologies (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and  Application Virtualization) 3+ years developing and deploying unattended operating system installations for workstations/desktops/laptops  with an in-depth understanding of hardware-independent imaging capabilities. 2+ years experience (direct experience, including best practices) in Engineering, including knowledge of  computer/network systems infrastructure requirements and standards Scripting experience utilizing a variety of languages such as VB Script, C#, Perl, VB.NET, PowerShell  and/or WinBatch or other programming languages. Experience troubleshooting and enhancing desktop security and configuration management through  Group Policy Objects (GPO) as well as the ability to create custom policies. Solid knowledge of the registry and file system. A solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies including:  Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and DHCP are required. Bachelor's Degree with Major in Computer Science field or, Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE),  VMware Certified Associate - Workforce Mobility (VCA-WM), VMware Certified Professional 5 - Desktop (VCP5-DT), or VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Desktop Design (VCAP-DTD) and 3+ years of relevant experience
