Faculty Position in Nutrition Science Director, Coordinated Program in Dietetics Assistant/Associate/Full Professor The Department of Nutrition Science in the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) seeks applicants for a tenure track faculty position. As the leader of our Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD), the position requires a strong commitment to the field of dietetic training and includes responsibilities in discovery, learning, and engagement. The successful candidate will direct the CPD, supervise a full-time MS, RD operational manager for the CPD, teach courses for the CPD, and conduct highquality nutrition research. Research should support one of our signature areas: Calcium, Vitamin D and Bone Health; Botanicals and Bioactives for Health; Cancer Prevention; Appetite, Metabolism, and Obesity. Applicants can work from any perspective (e.g. molecular mechanism, clinical intervention, population science). All applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree in Nutrition or a closely related field, up-to-date certification as an RD, post-doctoral training, dietetic practice experience, a strong research publication record, and either demonstrated (Associate/Full Professor level) or potential (Assistant Professor level) to obtain external research funding. Additional desired experiences include personnel management and working as or with supervised-practice preceptors. Opportunities for funding and research collaborations exist within over 100 Centers at Purdue, including: the NCI-designated Purdue Center for Cancer Research ( Behavior Research Center (IBRC, (www.purdue.edu/discoverypark/ candidate chosen will participate in graduate education as a member of the Interdepartmental Nutrition Program (INP, following materials to J. C. Fleet, 700 W. State St., Purdue Univ., West Lafayette, IN 47907-2059; a CV, three reference letters, descriptions of future research goals and teaching interests, funding record. Application review will begin on November 27, 2013 and continue until the position is filled.
