Job Title: System Architect

Location: LA,CA

Duration: 6 months

 

 

Role	System Architect - Recommendations
Mandatory Technical Skills	• Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science), Master's degree preferred • 10+ years relevant experience as a Systems Engineer or Solution Architect in a fast paced environment required • Experience in developing  scalable Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based web services • Experience in Business Systems Analysis, Requirements Elaboration and high-level architectural designs and detailed designs • Understanding of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development is required • Experience with distributed media applications, video-on-demand and  broadcast systems • Experience in integration  with any open source recommendation engine or DigitalSmiths is a plus • Experience in web services integration with platforms like web, mobile (smart phones, tablets), Settop box is a plus
Desirable Technical Skills
Mandatory Functional Skills	• Partner with business stakeholders to review and understand business requirements. • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural design • Document and review technical specifications with cross-functional teams • Facilitate and lead design review sessions and technical discussions • Support the project through entire development lifecycle from initial kick-off to production deployment • Participate in commercial-off-the-shelf product evaluation and selection • Be a subject matter expert in the assigned functional domain • Research emerging trends and technologies • Proactively identify and suggest architectural improvements in as-is Systems
