The role will perform the following:
Responsible for the design, build, operation, maintenance and support of AIX server hardware and system software and Linux operating system software, to ensure stability, reliability, recoverability and acceptable performance;  Optimizes UNIX server infrastructure via monitoring, tuning, capacity planning and by performing necessary hardware and software upgrades in accordance with ITIL best practices; Prepares detailed specifications for hardware and software upgrades; Performs as a technical resource on projects and other scheduled work activities; Researches current and developing technologies to provide technical guidance pertaining to capabilities, limitations and requirements of these systems.
