Client is looking for a contract resource to join our innovative dashboard monitoring solutions team. This team works across infrastructure and application areas to create industry leading monitoring solutions that provide holistic visibility to application and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications. The team leverages visualization, correlation and an array of tools to create solutions that will pinpoint problems quickly and help technology teams resolve them.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• System engineer with system development and administration experience to contribute toward the success of technology initiatives.
• Plan, design and develop monitoring solutions for complex applications and infrastructure.
• Installs, administer and maintain application systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems applications and architecture.
• Proven experience in agile or prototyping model of software development.
• Implements software upgrades and releases.
• Partner and work with internal departments and external entities in the delivery of monitoring solutions.
• Creative and independently work around hurdles to deliver best of breed solutions
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Minimum five years in developing and implementing application solutions
· Minimum five years in administering or supporting servers (MS, Linux, Unix) and server applications.
· Minimum three years’ experience in administering and implementing CA Infrastructure Management (Spectrum, Performance Management, Netflow Analysis) and other CA products like e-Health, CABI.
· Minimum five years’ experience in any infrastructure monitoring solutions from HP, CA or IBM.
· Working knowledge and experience on SNMP, syslog, WMI and other agent and agentless management protocol
· Familiarity with Web Service and different data formats (JSON, XML)
· Strong working experience in programming/scripting languages (PERL, Jscript, Unix Shell, PHP, VBScripts, ASP, C++)
· Extensive working experience in databases (SQL, DB2, oracle).
