1. Work with program manager to define solution scope. Ensure the correct stakeholders are actively participating and collaborate with program manager and stakeholders to clarify understanding of high level business needs and requirements.
2. Elicit, analyze, model, and document detailed requirements by using a variety of elicitation techniques, understanding business processes, alignment, and technology.
3. Validate requirements with stakeholders and the project team by communicating and presenting requirements artifacts, models, and deliverables appropriate to stakeholder needs. Educate development staff on Detailed Business Requirements.
4. Adhere to software development lifecycle (SDLC), operational procedures and project management methodologies in performing business systems analysis duties by collaborating with the project manager.
5. Plan, execute, and track testing functions for solution. Duties may range from generating and executing tests including: test case writing, test planning and test preparation set-up and test execution, as assigned to facilitating the testing process. Identify, document, and manage defects and defect resolutions by facilitating resolution with stakeholders and project team members.
6. Document and track action items and follow up on outstanding action items.
Data Analysis
7. Analyze and organize lists of business rules containing ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes. (400 – 700 business rules)
8. Develop method to compare lists of varying content and volume to improve the efficiency of the reconciliation process.
9. Utilize 3M’s Code Translation Tool to generate initial translation and further refine data output.
10. Document translation discussions and final agreement on ICD-10 codes for each business rule.
11. Partner with IT project delivery teams to ensure final ICD-10 translation is routed back to the right business rule and system changes match what was provided.
