[MTC Global] FDP on Innovative Methods in Teaching HRM and OB

Greetings from SDMIMD Mysore!

Management education, over the last 10 years, has witnessed several challenges, arising out of the emerging complexities in business environment. Teaching subjects in the areas of Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organizational Behavior (OB), has become challenging and requires special skillsets. While it is necessary to appreciate and focus on the various conceptual and theoretical frameworks of HRM and OB in the classrooms, faculty members need to facilitate in the process of preparing the students (budding managers) to get ready to face managerial challenges. To do so, a pressing need is felt to develop and implement innovative methods in teaching subjects in related to HRM and OB.

To address the above, SDMIMD Mysore is organizing a two day Faculty Development Program on "Innovative methods in Teaching HRM and OB", on 3 and 4 April, 2014, at SDMIMD Mysore Campus. The detailed brochure is attached herewith for your kind perusal.

The programme is the combination of lectures, simulation exercises, practical demonstrations of administering case study discussion and role play sessions, will be employed for ensuring optimum delivery of contents. This course is designed to foster learning through doing, and to explore and enhance the teaching skills. The programme is sequenced so that cumulative knowledge can be applied and practiced.

Dr. Nilanjan Sengupta and Dr. Mousumi Sengupta from SDMIMD will be the program facilitators, whose rich experience in training, consulting, researching and teaching in the areas of HRM and OB will be of immense help in making the program useful.
