Role: Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 12-Month+ Contract

 

We're looking for Ruby on Rails developers to help expand our product line, improve our existing products and help build the next generation of  our high-visibility software and web applications.  We are a technology-first Company with a prominent presence in the Open Source Community; leadership encourages and actively invests in the latest technologies and tools to keeps us on the forefront and ahead of our competition.  We offer a very flexible, casual work environment that takes a strong focus on team and work-life balance.  We are passionate about paired programming, love the Github community, and encourage our developers to always be exploring their passions. 

 

Required Experience

·         7+ years of full time software engineering experience 

·         3+ years of Ruby development experience (Rails preferred)

·         5+ years of regular JavaScript development (jQuery, Backbone, etc)

·         5+ years application development with MySQL

·         3+ years Agile experience (SCRUM preferred)

·         3+ years Test Driven Development experience

·         Git source control

·         Cloud infrastructure providers including Heroku, AWS, and EngineYard

·         Sidekiq or Resque

·         Postgres

·         Redis

 

Desired Experience:

·         Rspec and Capybara

·         Chef

·         vim

·         Facebook API
