RE: [MTC Global] academic information - reg.

I am not sure if others would agree with me but I have a humble but thoughtful request to all who posts anything on this MTC forum with an attachment:

Please do not post any attachments without some info in the main body about what that the attachment is about and what segment of audience would benefit from it. A case in point is this e-mail where the attachment is useful for Economics and Finance faculty. But  there is no info in the main body. For those who opened the attachment but did not qualify or had no interest in the matter, just wasted their time. Please note that to see this attachment, one has to save it in our computers before it could be look at. On the other hand, those who qualify and have interest in this attachment may not even open it since we are advised not to open attachments that we don't know what they contain. Thus, writing a couple lines about the attachments would serve the purpose of the post for the author as well as the e-mail audience.

Finally, it is a matter of courtesy and good practice to briefly alert the readers of what he/she is likely to see.

I hope I am not out of line to request this basic courtesy.
