Role : PHP Developer

Location : Richardson, TX

Duration : 6+ months with extensions

Start: Immediate

Interview : Phone/Skype interview

Basic Function

· The Developer will be responsible for system level enhancements for a number of enterprise-wide applications.

· This includes but is not limited to creating requirements documentation, completing project tasks, monitoring and reporting project progress to Senior Developer/Technical Lead, and adhering to the change control process (subversion).

· The Developer will work to create and edit web applications, primarily using PHP, PostgreSQL, Magento, Symfony or Zend framework.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform translation of logical design into physical program design/specifications and code the solutions.

· Develops and integrates IT solutions (e.g. application module code, purchased package customization) by using appropriate development methodologies and standards, adopting/applying standard architectures/patterns, taking into account critical performance characteristics, security measures and customer requirements.

· Collaborates with others to establish the physical application framework.

· Works with others to prepare and stage production builds, and verify production releases meet technical and business expectations.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to apply concepts pursuant to software development Best Practices and numerous internal processes:

· 4-5+ years of experience with PHP

· Must be able to work independently and on a team

· Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts

· Familiar with MVC design pattern

· PostGres SQL / MySQL / SQL

· Experience with version control systems (preferably Subversion)

· Experience with LAPP / LAMP stack

o Linux. Comfortable working in Linux

o Apache. Comfortable working with Apache and .htaccess files

o PostgreSQL, Understands SQL

o PHP

o HTML (XHTML Strict & HTML5) a plus
